CABC (Convention of Atlantic Baptist Churches)

– September 16th, 2018

          • The ministry that we do together as the churches of Canadian Baptists of Atlantic Canada depends on your generous prayer and financial support. Each church’s commitment and contributions to our shared mission impact us all. As you look ahead and begin planning for 2019, please remember the important ministry we do together by continuing to include the CBAC in your budget and consider increasing the level of giving.

          • Pray for the Youth & Family Ministries staff (Renée Embree, Andrew Glidden & Jacqueline Derrah), who work to see every youth, children, and camp ministry answer the call to train and send the next generation as missionaries into the everyday rhythms of life. Pray that the department’s work with churches and leaders will bear much fruit in the lives of the youth and families who are a part of CBAC churches. Take a moment this week to send the team a note of encouragement via our website (http://baptist-atlantic.ca/contact-us/).

          • Church to pray for: Peel United Baptist Church, Peel, NB (Northwestern Association, Region 2); Rev. Eldon A. Hicks & Pastor Lorne Shaw.

Dear Church family.  Over the next 4 weeks (starting on Sept.16th) we will begin our church service at 10:50am in an attempt to conclude our morning worship by noon.  This means if you like the musical part of our worship service you'll need to come a little earlier.  Also, the order of service will change to help us reach the same target. Please extend grace to us in the midst of the process but know that we do want your feedback.  At the end of the 3 week period we will give a survey for your thoughts and then the following week we will have a brief meeting to talk about the changes.  Thank you for your patience and grace during this time.

            • One of our priorities is 75 Emerging Pastor Leaders (total of 150 pastor leaders of all demographics). We know that God calls pastors of all ages but we recognize that there is a great need for younger pastors to hear the call to reach the emerging generations. Pray that God will raise up new leaders and that God may use you to encourage and bless potential pastor leaders in your church.

            • Please pray for the various ministry groups in our churches (children, youth, adult, senior, Alpha, small groups, etc.). Pray that they may grow increasingly passionate about reaching those who need to know Christ as well as leading Christ-followers in a deepening walk with Him. Pray for all the various leaders, teachers and others that they may be strengthened and encouraged.
