• Today is the first Sunday of Advent. For the next several weeks, churches will focus aspects of Advent – Hope, Peace, Joy & Love. How you can enter into the story this year in a new way? Invite your neighbours so they can experience the new life that Jesus brings. Pray that churches will be able to effectively share the hope, peace, love & joy of Christmas.

Weekly In Our Church Family
EVERY TUESDAY- 2:00 p.m. - Bible Study and Prayer Meeting at **WSUBC. **Note that we are meeting at WSUBC for the winter months.
EVERY WEDNESDAY, 7 pm to 9pm, – Wednesday night Group Study at David & Kelly Moore’s home, 23 Target Hill Rd., Chester. Phone No. 902-275-2229. Everyone is invited.
EVERY FRIDAY, YOUTH GROUP – 6pm-8pm Grades Primary to 2. All Welcome, as well as looking for Teens to help.

December 4th – 6:30 pm, WMS Tuesday in the Fellowship hall at Aenon. Be prepared to have gift for your Secret Sister to exchange. Also we will be preparing 20 boxes to be packed.
December 5th, 9:30 am, Wednesday at Chester Basin Legion, the CWC (Christian Women’s Club) will be presenting ‘The Light Series' – (Movie from RSVP Ministries, Music will be Christmas (CD) tunes with a light brunch. Costs $7.00, Contact Donna Bezanson at 902-275-5887 for reservations.
December 7th, 6:30pm, Friday – Come join and celebrate the Annual Christmas Tree lighting at Anvil Park (near legion) in Chester Basin. There will be Hot Chocolate, Carol singing and Santa Claus will be dropping in for a visit. Everyone welcome.
December 16th, 3pm, Sunday – Celebrating Christmas through Reading and Song at Western Shore Baptist.
December 17th, 7pm, Monday – Choir practice for Christmas Eve service. Anyone welcome.
December 24th, 6:30 pm, Monday –Christmas Eve Service
Bake Sale Thank you
We would like to thank everyone who baked, donated or worked during our Bake sale held on Nov. 17th. We raised $311.50 towards the B&G Fund. We are truly blessed for your service!
Foodbank
Our church family will be collecting Personal items for women/ men of the Foodbank, until December 16th. Items such as Shampoo, Soaps, Toothbrushes, Toothpaste, razors, shaving cream etc., have been requested. (we will not be doing the shoeboxes this year). Thank you for generous support.
Lighthouse food bank is looking for the following: Christmas candies/chocolates.
Griefshare – Pastor Sheila Ago from Chester Baptist will be offering a grief support group from 3:00pm to 4:00pm @ Chester Baptist. If you are grieving the passing of a loved one, you are invited to join. Please extend the invitation to other people in the community.
