CABC (Convention of Atlantic Baptist Churches)

– December 16th, 2018

          • Pray for Atlantic Baptist Housing - Mark Cameron, Executive Director of Housing & Victor Shea, Executive Director of Nursing, and for the board as they make decisions and the staff as they capably serve. They provide leadership in an important ministry – affordable housing for and care for our loved ones in their senior years. Pray as they are continually working on new projects, as well as consulting and partnering with our churches.

          • Church to pray for: Clark's Harbour United Baptist 'Stone' Church, Clark's Harbour, NS (Shelburne Association, Region 9); Pastor Adam Renouf.

 

 Weekly In Our Church Family 

EVERY TUESDAY- 2:00 p.m.  - Bible Study and Prayer Meeting at **WSUBC. **Note that we are meeting at WSUBC for the winter months.

EVERY WEDNESDAY, 7 pm to 9pm, – Wednesday night Group Study at David & Kelly Moore’s home, 23 Target Hill Rd., Chester. Phone No. 902-275-2229. Everyone is invited. (Postponed until January 9th, 2019)

EVERY FRIDAY, YOUTH GROUP – 6pm-8pm Grades Primary to 2. All Welcome, as well as looking for Teens to help.

December 17th, 7pm, Monday – Choir practice for Christmas Eve service. Anyone welcome.

December 22, 2018, 7:00 PM Saturday, Long Lake Camp Old Fashion Christmas -  Join the board of Long Lake Camp for a beautiful “Old Fashion Christmas” celebration at Buckfield Baptist Church, 3945 Highway 210, Buckfield, NS .This previously closed church will, once again, open its doors to welcome you in! Turn of the century clothing is ENCOURAGED as we will have decked the halls with boughs of pine and holly, dried cranberries, popcorn strings, dried oranges and of course candles. We will gather for a celebration of our Saviour’s birth with music, readings and a wonderful message. A free will offering supporting the ministry at Long Lake Camp will be taken. Please bring your friends and family!!

December 24th, 6:30 pm, Monday – Annual Christmas Eve Candlelight Service presented by WMS (Women’s Missionary Society).  All loose offerings and undesignated monies will be distributed to Lighthouse Food bank, Long Lake Camp and Soul’s Harbour Mission.

 Foodbank

Our church family will be collecting Personal items for women/ men of the Foodbank, until December 16th. Items such as Shampoo, Soaps, Toothbrushes, Toothpaste, razors, shaving cream etc., have been requested. (we will not be doing the shoeboxes this year). Thank you for generous support.

Lighthouse food bank is looking for the following: Christmas candies/chocolates.
