A MESSAGE FROM LONG LAKE CAMP

PROJECT #1 FAN PROJECT

2019 is projected to be the HOTTEST summer on record so to prepare for this and ensure the comfort and safety of our campers and staff we have sourced industrial fans from Uline Canada that meet the needs and durability that is required to survive camp life. These fans are 18 “ metal attachable fans with 3 blades, 3 speeds and rotate 360 degrees. The cost of each fan is: $161.00 + $24.15 tax + $ 11.25 shipping for a grand total of $196.40 Our ultimate goal is 19 fans to supply all cabins, dining area, craft room area, cabins inside main lodge and the two upper cabins.

PROJECT #2 ROOF BUNDLES

There is a portion of the kitchen roof that needs to be fixed and re-shingled. We have priced out bundles that include all materials and labour costs. Each roof bundle is $150 and we need approximately 20 bundles for a total projected cost of $3000 This is also a very important project that needs attention this year!

PROJECT #3 SUPPORT A CAMPER

Each summer we are approached by teachers, grand parents, friends and community members who know of children that need and would benefit greatly from a week in our wholesome Christian environment. At this point in time we have 12 children needing full funding. $200 per child is needed to ensure these kids can come to hear the good news of Jesus. We are asking you all to prayerfully consider supporting a camper this summer. I know for a fact that in the past we have witnessed some of these sponsored children give their lives to Jesus....your donation could literally change a child’s life forever!!

CABC (Convention of Atlantic Baptist Churches)

July 7th, 2019

               • Pray for churches and pastors who are currently experiencing transitions in ministry – pastors looking for churches and churches looking for pastors. Pray that they will be Kingdom focused, listening to God’s voice as they move from the fruits of one ministry to the promise of another. Pray that they may be open to new ways that God may be calling them.

               • Pray for all of our retired pastors, many of whom never retire completely. Some will continue to minister in our churches filling valuable roles. Others struggle with declining health. Thank a retired pastor for their dedication and faithfulness to the call of God on their life.

CABC (Convention of Atlantic Baptist Churches)

May 19th, 2019

               • One of our priorities is that our churches would become Mission Edge Churches. Some markers of this kind of church would be that the church would be in the neighbourhood, they would reflect the demographic of their neighbourhood, and that they recognize where God is working in their neighbourhood and are joining Him there. Your neighbourhood should be different because the church is there. Is it?

               • Give thanks for the continued growing ministry of the Atlantic Baptist Foundation as they assist our churches and agencies with financing for new church development, extension projects, and grants to strengthen various ministries of the CBAC. As God blesses this ministry, it in turn is able to bless others. Pray for the board as they make these decisions.
